Mr. Abdullah Al-Harbi, Head of Risk Services Sector at HCPA, participated in the 4th Annual Internal Audit Forum organized by the General Audit Bureau. The forum was titled “Challenges of Internal Audit in the Public Sector in the Era of Transition to Accrual Basis” and took place in Riyadh on May 17, 2023.

In his presentation, Mr. Abdullah Al-Harbi discussed several challenges facing internal audit in the public sector. He emphasized the importance of the audit committee’s connection to top management and its impact on supporting independence and ensuring effectiveness, which in turn strengthens internal control and enhances financial and accounting systems and procedures.
